Our vision is a world where children are safe and protected from any form of violence.
Our commitment to child safety
SAMSN is a survivor-led support service for men who were sexually abused as children. We have a commitment to support survivors of child sexual abuse and have a zero tolerance for any harm (sexual or other) to children and young people.
All children, have the right to be protected from abuse regardless of their gender, race, religious beliefs, age, disability, sexual orientation, or family or social background.
SAMSN is committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, the cultural safety of children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with disability.
Every person employed by SAMSN takes their responsibility for the safety of children and young people very seriously. SAMSN ensures that all staff are trained and supported to raise any concerns about the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
We will take action to prevent harm to a child immediately.

Family safety
Domestic and family violence is a serious issue that affects people of all genders. We recognise that 1 in 4 Australian women report experiencing domestic and family violence and it is important that all survivors have access to gender appropriate support. We also recognise that there are many barriers to people being able to speak up or seek help.
If you or someone you know is impacted by abuse, harm, or distress please see below for a list of specialist services for support.
Please remember to prioritise your own wellbeing as a priority when supporting others.
SAMSN has male and female specialist trauma-informed counsellors who can provide short term counselling for more information click here
